Zeppelins

Zeppelins where German airships that where first seen in World War I. These huge ships were 650 feet long. They were able to fly higher than the earliest fighter planes. The zeppelin got its name from its creator Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin. A zeppelin could fly at nearly 60 miles an hour. The zeppelin had three gasoline engines propelling it on. A zeppelin could carry nearly two tons of bombs on board. To bring a zeppelin down you would have to set fire to it. These monsters could fly 22,966 feet in the air!
